Teak Wood
Teak wood is a dense hardwood sourced from the Teak Tree (Tectona grandis). The Teak tree is native to south and southeast Asia. With a golden color and smooth grain and texture, it’s quite eye-catching right off the start.
Growing up to 150 feet and living for 100 years, teak is coveted for its attractive color and grain, durability, strength, resistance to splitting, cracking, termites, fungus and weathering.
All these benefits combined are the reason many people refer to teak as “The King of Woods” for furniture.
Ipe Wood
Ipe (pronounced “ee-pay”) is a Brazilian hardwood prized for its beautiful brown and amber tones, as well as its impressive density which lends it better performance when compared with other wood options.
